Running fine to, no spark??? VTR 2002

Hello all i have got a saxo 02 plate so silver top engine its the 1.6 vtr, I went a brought this car drove it home fine no problems wat so ever got it home parked it up. I come back to it day after started it up see if i could noticed any thing i didnt the night i brought it, Nothing so switched it off again, I then started to fidel with the trip push button thing as was told can take spanner of buy holdin it down. I did this and come up with some numbers counting down from 9 i let it do it thinking it wouls clear it but no luck.

I then stuck it up for sale (AS IM A CAR DEALER) Some one came to have a look but wouldnt start! Now i didnt tri to start after i was playin with button thing. so not sure if it was to do with this but it was left for 3 days under snow. So after the embarsment of car not starting with protention buyer i started to have a look, I found there was no start and i was wondering if any one would no any thing about this? Any help would be grate thanks so much connor

Rite theres loads of things there could be, you wanna try some of these things.
1. Take all hd leads off the sparks and remove sparks use the cleanest spark on each hd lead and get a mate to tell you if theres a spark on either 1,2,3 or 4 hd lead!
2. Check for continuity on the starter motor! (some times on pugs and saxos there starter motor wires get a little corroded) get a multimeter and attack the black to a negitive on the batt and try the red on the starter motor. If wires are bad and no conti sound activates take starter off and trace wires to check for cuts and corrosion!!
3. Ensure the car is not stolen, check all wires inside and out to see if any cuts and mods have been dont to the car!!
If all else fails take it to a specialist, this should be a straight forward task but let me know how you get on!!

Def not stolen HPI it when i was there i drove it home and jsut wierd it now wont start i dont no if it was coz i was fidling with that button dont no wat it dose. i will give it ago to mor guna go out there and check it all over do you no wat size its ment to be for the spark plug gap? thanks alot m8 will keep postings

Oh right so how many car dealers do you no so well to right to you??? . . .

I mite not be the best speller, But wat i do no is i can sell cars i can make money im good with cars wat i have grown up arong since i was littel i didnt no that it was part of being a car dealer to spell things? im sorry but who are you to say any thing about it? Im jsut asking for help im not asking for people to point out i cant spell .. .

what does speeling matter?? dosent mean you can be a good mechanic/dealer
dunno size of sparks just take them to a local mechanic

Exacly! not the size of the spark the gap between thethe prong on bottem of plug? i need to check that as it think thay are abit to far apart but i need to check it thanks for all help im guna be checkin the saxo with wat you said wen i get backt o work ill let you now wat gose on thanks for help m8

Yo dude thanks for ya help i was lookin up on just genral cars not saxos and typed in the problem fule but no sprak and come up quit often the crank sensor was only £14 quid so i thort worth a laugh and started on the first turn of key thanks for help bud
