Re-drilling alloys?

Anyone know of anyone who does this? How much does it usually cost to change the stud pattern this way?

you cant change the stud pattern unless its 4-8 stud or 5-10 stud you can bore the holes out wider but its not worth doing as any engineering place will charge a hour a wheel so like 60 a wheel. cheaper and easier to get the correct wheels or adaptors.

cant you just buy adapters? surely it would be cheaper??

    EDIT: too slow lol

I slightly thought about this the other day, I have a 3 stud but want these 4 stud wheels...thought ahh ill just drill the three holes on and cover the others. If you get it done properly dont see a problem in my eyes

i thought it would be easier than adaptors becuase i see it more often when people try fitting 4x100 wheels to saxos. if spacers would be cheaper can anyone point out anywhere for adaptors?

euro performance sell h&r adaptors and there built like a brick shit house i have seen cheap adaptors fail alot. i have also seen drilled alloys shatter as all the strengh is taken out of the centre the manufacturers make them with so much ally in the middle for a reason.

better off buying new hubs if its from 3 to 4 stud or buying wheels to fit the car in the first place..i no someone who got it done cant remember exact figures but it worked out very very expensive

well na i was intending to fit 4x100 wheels

An engineering shop will do it for you, but you need to alloy weld the original holes up first. Then get the new stud pattern drilled, Carn't imagine it being cheap though m8.
Imo your better off just buying a set of wheels with the correct pcd, I wouldn't bother with adapters.
