Important! : Another problem with the saxo!

   Hi all got another problem with the saxo my head gasket blew last week just got i fixed and now the car is being very strange.. it idles at 800rpm but as soon as a hit the throttle it idles at 2000rpm if i turn the wheels to full lock it will just die. i have to get the car to around 4-5000 rpm to pull away as im driving when i get below 10mph it dies.. also the eml light is on then flashes then stays on. Could anybody shed some light on this please as i need the car asap.

   Check all your electrics man, that's odd I must say lol.
   
   Can only be an Electrical problem I'd imagine

   yeah its strange and very annoying as i cant use it
   im thinking it might be the throttle position sensor but cant find one.

   the power steering will cause the revs to drop as the pump is driven off the crank, but shouldn't cause the car to die, check your idle control valve

   No it's not it's Electric Pump, The Alternator is driven off the Crank

    i woud check the ground cable from the battery to gearbox if this is lose it plays havock with the engin electrics

    im sure its some kind of electrical problem but i cant get it to a garage to get the codes read

    If you got it fixed at a garage buddy, it needs taking back as soon as possible. Part of the ridiculous amount they charge is the cover if anything goes wrong, like lights flashing and cutting out, then they need to sort it.

    That is a problem...Just have to wait until after Xmas thats when things are ment to get better, Weather Wise.. I would hate being you, I cant stand not being able to drive my car, My clutch went this year, couldn't drive it for like 1 week :o Fuc*ed everything up!

    i cant wait i hate not driving it so im having to use my motorbike and its frezzing lol. My car is very strange lol.

    im going to order a fault code reader now so hopfully i can find whats wrong with it.. whatever it is its really strange lol.

    I see my air leak hypothesis has just been discounted. Always look to the simplest solution first, Occams Razor !
