Immobiliser on all the time please help!

   i have a 1998 saxo vtr and had a 1999 vts engine put in as a conversion. i got a kit all unlocked ecu with chip and barrel key. Immobiliser light just wont go off so i cant start it and test the engine. Need to know if there is anyway of getting the immobiliser out or bypassing it. please help been sitting on my front for two weeks just want to drive!!!!

   I think that if your ecu was truly unlocked the liught would not flash and the imobilizer would make no difference to it at all.
   
   Based on what I think, ie your ecu is not unlocked, I would be checking the condition of the pick up ring on the ign barrel and make sure the key that goes with your ecu is right next to it.
   
   Maybe I am wrong though and some one can tell you what to try. Good luck fella
