99 1.1 spree Not Starting

    Hey Guys, My 99 saxo wont start,

    I thought the battery was nackered from the cold as the weather got to -18 2days running and has been in the minus for the last 2 weeks,

    So I've tried charging the battery & now the starting motor was making an awfull grinding noise, so after givin it a few taps the car wont turn over at all,

    I can hear the starter motor clicking, but I'm not sure if its the starter motor or the battery is just complete fu*ked ??? any suggestions ?

    Update ! Battery has enough charge to start, Problem is the stater motor I think its jammed, Anybody know were abouts it is on my model ??

    Quick Update ! After doin some searching on the forum, I came across some people with simular problems and some posts saying to put it in gear and rock the car, I did this 2day and I went to start it up and the starter tried to start the car but it sounds like its not getting a full cycle and go's back to one click per try, unless i rock it again,

    anybody any other ideas b4 i get another starter on monday ??

    You tried getting a jump start might not cure the problem but if it starts then you no its something to do with the starter motor or battery... If it wont start then you need to get someone to look at it imo

    Nah Havnt tried to bump start it, read a post that someone wrecked their car doin that lol, but might just give it a go 2marra !
