another lowering question.

just rang to book my vtr in to get the back lowered, and they said they wont do it unless the front is done first because they reckon it has to be done first. didnt think that was the case?

Load of waffle - the two aren't related, it'll just look a bit nose high until you get the front done

well thats what i said, because on my corsa it was high on the front till i got them done. gunna be 40/60 anyway so it doesnt really matter anyway does it?

If you get the front done 1st, When they lower the rear they'll know how much to lower it by. (so the car is level)
If you got the rear done 1st + buy springs for the front later, the front might sit higher so you would have to buy new springs or lower the torsion bar again.
It obviously doesn't have to be done this way but it makes sense to. Or get them done together

  10. #10
Wouldn't dare pay more the £100. Ask on here for some one to do it for you.

i fitted my own springs and the garage charged me £50 to do my torsion bar and they took 5.5 hours over it lol i would just steer clear from that place they seam like a bunch of cowboys
  14. #14
well they want 100 quid to do it. they said they only charge that much because if its seized itll take em longer. doin the front springs myself.

even if it takes all day they shouldnt charge that much considering most of the day they'll just spray WD40 on it and leave it to soak in while they do other jobs

do it your self mate cheaper and there guides on here to help.
  17. #17
thing is most on here learnt by doing it themselves if all goes wrong you can still fall back on the garage to do it plus if you free them off it might be cheaper
lots of wd40 is the key really

i'd do it myself like but i dont really have the time, with it being christmas n doin all the shifts i can at work!
