Important! : Wing mirrors problem.

    Ok, if you post on general chat you will have probably seen my thread where some twat decided to kick both wing mirrors of my car, or hit them. I didnt see them so cant do anything about it - but they need replacing asap

    Ive got some on order.

    Now to cut to the chase, my wing mirrors are still hanging on by 3 metal wires that connect inside somehwere, (will get pics 2moz if they are needed)
    Now also the plastic bit that is stuck to the mirror is coming away aswell.

    They are manual mirrors, but how do i remove the current wires from these broken mirrors and connect them up to my new ones when they come?

    Any help would be much appriecated!

    Is the wires not just the adjusters on the inside ??? Check the inside behind the plastic cover ?

    you don't have to mess with the wires, new ones come with them

    yeh, take the back plate off (one where the bit is in the car to move your mirrors little triangle thing) and you door card....undo the 3 T20s (torx 20) screws...the whole mirror and base plate will come off...there is also a little alan key screw holding the moving 'nipple' in, undo that...keep the triangle bit...throw the mirror...replace with new mirror and baseplate put the triangle bit on...and door card back on...done

    Triangle bit (flocke di know...but you get the idea lol
