brake light fault

   hi people my centre brake light stays on and wont go off could this be why my car wont start

   When you try to start your car what happens? Does it keep trying to turn over constantly? Turn over then slowly die? Any lights on dash?

   nothin at all lights come on on dash but fuel pump fails to prime and starter motor dont turn over

   Try changing the battery first as it sounds like the light may have drained it then go from there.

   do you mean with lights on, or with lights off, that the centre brake light is on, if its when lights are on youve put a single filament bulb in one your rear lights which should be a dual filament bulb, might have an effect on starting the car has been known to cause the car to not be able to turn off

   its the switch on the pedal gone i disconnected it and they went out lol
