Clicking when starting?

    Hi,

    It seems when i drive for a bit and gets hot i get this annoying clicking sound when i start it doesnt prevent it from starting but it is a quite a loud clicking noise?

    anyone else had/got this?

    any help appreciated thanks

    Starter solenoid or low battery..

    I'd have to hear it, is it only when it's hot?

    yes mate when i first start it its completley fine and then when i drive for about 15 mins and then turn engine back on it clicks.

    i changed terminals on my battery because they were dodgy and thought it would help but hasnt lol

    Odd if it's when hot. Have a listen, get a mate to start it while you listen. If it comes from the back it'll be the starter. To be honest I can't think what else it'll be lol.

    Our 1.1 developed a clicking noise when starting up. Fitting a starter motor from a scrap yard sorted it.
