a spark is a spark, the main difference between normal and uprated plugs is the temps which the ceramic part of the plug can deal with, nothing to do with a 'better spark' (ie the electrode). so the only reason to change to different grades of spark plug is when the combustion temps change ie boosted vts will run hotter then standard vts, as will a high comp engine on 'bodies etc, therefore a plug which will run cooler is required to stop detonation.
so to answer your question again (assuming your car isnt boosted or high compression), then nope you dont need either and won't get any gain or feel any difference. save your money
