Important! : dodgy wheel noises ( i think )

rite, the rear engine mount plate where the 2 bolts go through was very loose so i tightend it, but still getting a rotatory squeling noise coming from the driver side and the squeling develpos into a scoring sound as u get below 20mph when ur hard on the brakes?

    wheel bearing?
it is better now iv tightend the mount but not alot better still getting kicking and squeeling etc., what use recon

so use recon its the wheel bearing or something loose or?

its deff not the driveshafts, broken springs, engine mounts as these have all been checked and fixed????????????

    driving me nuts......

Is the gearbox lower mount on the right way up? If not the driveshaft could be rubbing on the chassis legs/body, especially if your car is lowered at all. If you have fitted bigegr front brakes they can catch on the inner surface of the wheel unless modified slightly for clearence.

If the noise is still there with the engine OFF and gearbox in NEUTRAL it's got to be an issue with either the gearbox/ driveshafts/intermediate drivers drive shaft bearing/wheel bearings or brakes binding.

yes its the right way up and yes the clearance on the brakes are fine.......

dont think its the box or the shafts

pretty shure its the driverside front wheel but could do with some opinions

My discs are warped like a bitch right now, and my symptoms sound strangely like what your describing, thats only why i mentioned , may be worth checking

I have the same problem almost. I'm pretty sure mine is the wheel bearings though. So you could always make sure thats not the problem

jacked car up and ran it and wheels acting in a buckeld action, take it this can only be that the wheel is buckeld? or can it still be the bearing lol

dont think it can be but dont fancy sourcing a white 205 wheel lol
also theres been no damage to the alloy wheel?

theres something f*ked there! the hub flange possibly, that is the part with the threads for the wheel bolts in itll be bollockd

if its the wheel bearing do the following
jack the car up put your hands on 10 to 2 and wobble and then 12 6 if the wheel moves when doing this then it will probably be your wheel bearings gone
or you've got a damaged hub but would this not make the steering wobble while driving?

just drove along road and went hard on brakes then of, did this 4 times then on the 5th it started grinding and then squeeled all the way back

    must be the bearing?
