Gearbox With 100k On It

   Would you buy a gearbox from someone with 100k on it ?
   
   They say it shifts into gear perfect. Car is completely standard and has fsh with it

   SHould be fine, as long as it's full of Oil and does indeed go into gears it should be OK - just make sure it's cheap - anything under £80 should be ok.

   Wouldn't go near a box with that milage, there's some on here that go for less, trust me, i've been through four gearboxes in a year, the cheap option isn't always best. You end up spending more in the long run.

   Yes its cheap enough mate my box is near enough knackered and clunking into 2nd gear and 1st gear is horrible to get into and whining in 5th and thats on 100k+ thats why im quite weary of buying it but im sure mines has been ragged at some point to make it so worn out

   I doubt it was the gearbox that was the problem on your car...
   
   I personally wouldnt touch a gearbox with that mileage mate
