Vts cam belt tension

   How tight should I be setting the
   Cambelt when I set the tensioner? I don't want the thing whining like sine Vts!! Is there a way of doing it without the Citroën tool?

   Generally you want somewere between a half and quater twisting turn on the belt. Dont need any citroen tools to do it at all so no worries there. Do you have a belt tension reader?

   Should be able to twist the belt ninety degrees on the longest side and should have about an inch of deflection

   No I don't have a tension reader sadly. My friend has done it a couple of times for me bi he is on nights at the mo so will do it myself. Thanks for the input I will try it later :-)
