Whirring noise when cold

   The old mark1 is making a whirring/whining noise when giving the engine some gas. It gets louder and faster the higher the revs. It only does this when it is cold. Once engine has warmed up slightly the noise goes completely.
   
   Any ideas from someone that has experienced this would be more than useful!

   I've had this twice.
   
   First time it was my Water Pump and Second time it was my Alternator.
   
   So, you need to listen to it and see where it's coming from. You'll know because the Alternator is right in front of you lol.

   yeah someone else i explained the problem to said it might be alternator. Will have a listen tonight. Thanks alot buddy
