decatting a standard

    just wondering what it sounds like decating a standard exhaust
    i have brought the straight through that someone mentioned on here for a mk2 and i am putting it on my mk1 wich will decat it and it doesnt have that centre silencer
    its just till after christmas when i get a full system
    im just wonderintg what it would sound like with a standard backbox?
    would it sound gay?

    it would be quite throaty but nothing immense i wouldn't think so would be ok if you had an induction kit?

    Hehe, i tryed it other week with a standard back box on mine and it still got the rasp, not as much as the Supersprint backbox but still there, sounded weird though coming from a standard backbox lol.

    Watch the video mate and it will give you a rough idea, just go for it, will sound raspy definately .

    I get nice burbling from my standard system and oversize K&N, the air rushing down sounds gorgeous

    my vts has a standard full system including centre silencer and is decatted and still pops every now and again. was tonnes better when it was straight though with piper backbox though

    Straight through exhaust on a turbo'd car sounds b-e-a-utiful! On a small petrol engined car however..
