i want to stick some stickers on my glovebox lid but with the plastic feel none will stay on.. does anyone have any sweet ideas to make them stick.

i was thinking if i could get away with sticking vinyl down on it first, but will that even hold?

    any ideas guys?

    many thanks in advance

I was going to sand it down enough to remove the grain effect but then I need to clearcoat it I surpose so it's slippery then sticker over that!
    Thanks for that guys

have u used silicon/back to black or somethimg on it?? i used to work in a body shop and that was the biggest ball ache doing interiors, people covering them in silicon. try a degreaser first mate, that way it wont ruin the finish. just make sure u use one approved for plastics

Once you get them on wrap a sheet of clear acetate around the glove box lid

Just sand down the glovebox mate and slap the on. I laquered the first one I did on a mates car and they stuck like glue. I haven't bothered to do it on mine and it has only just started to peel at one corner.

Just remeber to take the glovebox lid off first if you decided to laquer it!

just gave the lid a good rub down with a rough sponge, and it all stuck on fine.. doesnt peel if you rub the edges or anything

used some chequered flag vinyl stickers, and cut them up to fit

    jobs a good'un.

"vinyl" stickers will stick regardless, if its good quality. The vinyl i use will stick to painted wood, embossed plastic, glass etc. It might be worth adding a coat of laquer
to protect them against people rubbing against them etc.

Paper stickers will deffinatly require a rub down and the plastic to be smoothed and a coat of laquer.
