key fob

    i dropped my key fob in my pint, and its stopped working

    so what's the best option?

    get a new fob? but where do i get that from? how much is it going to cost? and how long will it take?

    or go all out, and get a nice little alarm or something, something that'll still open my doors but also give me an alarm

    whats the best option?

    i'm currently having to climb in through my boot each time i want to get into my car. so the sooner the better boys

    take it apart, battery out, rinse to remove the beer. Get it dried up. put back together. Might have to get a new battery in there.

    ...And the downside of de-locking is:

    Is it the original key fob? if it is you can get a replacement from Citroen but its going to cost around £100 for the fob and £50 for them to program it!

    I took mine into the sea with me last summer (forgot there were electronics on my keys!) and haven't bothered replacing it at the moment just because its so expensive, although I still have my door locks so its not as much hassle!
