Some people think it may be the immobilizer, what you guys think? Hopefully will have an auto-electrician out sometime tomorrow

It depends if you can hear your Fuel pump. If you can't it'll be that or the fuse.

If you can it'll be the Coil pack.
Could be the immobilizer, does the light come on?

No light comes on, what it is, is yesterday I was having a tracker fitted in my car for my insurance it worked perfectly before it was installed and as soon as he install it and tried to turn the car on, all it did was turnover :s he checked all the fuses and everything was fine. So he uninstalled the tracker and still nothing and he's saying its not his fault, so he said if the auto electrician proves its his fault then he has to pay

Ohhh!! You never said that lol.

I see... It must be his fault then... He's knocked a wire or something. It's easy to do lol I've done it loads of times then spent hours trying to find out why things don't work...
  11. #11
That's exactly what I said to him but he was like no its not anything to do with me its to do with your toad alarm and all the disconnected wires from the system, and I'm like wtf clearly its your fault as it was working perfectly fine before you touched it! Just hope the auto electrician can come out tomorrow and prove its his fault so I don't have to pay

It depends how your Alarm Stops the Engine from Starting.

    Mine cuts Fuel AND Spark.

    Yours might just cut Spark.

You could stick some brake cleaner or Petrol in the Throttle body and see if it fires up. Not too much or it'll Hydro-Lock. But if it fires up your problem is Fuel related. If it doesn't it's Spark and may be your Alarm. Also Check your Crank Sensor as I had the same problem and of all things it was the Crank Sensor (I'd chopped through the wire by accident )

I have a toad alarm that's all I know lol

There's been so many on here with Frozen Engine's and a few down my road had Frozen Engine's last week

Plus the cold makes everything brake or stop working...
  26. #26
I fear the frozen engine pandemic, that's why I make sure even if i'm not using the saxo for the day i leave it ticking over for a bit first thing in the morning so that it doesn't go caput

Also, that tracker you're having fitted to your car, does it really reduce the insurance that much? I would have to have it fitted, being watched constantly where you are and what you're doing, f**k that, get annoyed with work's van trackers.

RAC have just been out and said there's no supply to the ignition coil from the control relay, so car has to be towed to garage in morning
