VTR Performance

  1. #1
Right within the next week I am buying a VTR I have already have the following mods ready to put on

    full s/s exhaust no cat
    4-2-1 manifold
    enclosed filter

    What would be next?
I want to stay down the n/a route budget at about £1k

    Cheers

Most likely uprated Cams, and a remap to get the most out of all the mods.
Also a port polish/head work but that can be quite expensive i believe.

Cheapest mod and most efficient would be to strip the interior down but thats debatable on what the car is used for everyday i guess.

the car will be stripped as soon as I get it

    what about throttle bodeis?
  4. #4
its alright gettin throttle bodies but they cost a bomb for what they are mate!
  5. #5
Throttle bodies is usually after all of the above is done but Spencer is right it costs quite a bit for all the parts, fitting, rolling road time and remapping.

Definatly money well spent though IMO. All just depends on your budget, i wanted TB's but doubt i will be able to afford it now, sucks....

well over a grand for the setup!
  7. #7
ok then no throttle bodies for me then!!

what cams should I go for ?
  8. #8
Typically people go for Piper Cams (think they have a 285 profile) You wont get the full benifit out of cams until your other mods are done (exhuast filter, manifold and a remap) Probably worth getting some Venier pullies and an uprated cam belt if your changing Cams too.

is there any where I can get a complete cam kit including pullies etc?

I will be getting a remap after all the work is done
  10. #10
Cat cams are suposed to be good and there cheaper than kent i tink
  11. #11
