Important! : w reg vtr died an wont start

my mrs has a w reg vtr an an the motorway the other day it died an now it wont start no matter what you do, she said the speed started going down so she put her foot down an when it got to 65 it started going down again, so she moved into the inside lane an when she looked all the dash lights where on an car was off.

im out of ideas, i've changed fuel pump because i couldnt hear it prime but after checking it is working and getting fuel, its just not sparking so ive changed coil pack with a nown working one but still nothing, also changed alternator as a just in case. check all fuses an changed the yellow relay in the fuse box and ive changed the big one under the ecu

but now im outta ideas can anybody help please?

sounds like the problem i've had with mine. have you checked the battery and that? my alternator went on my car and it just lost power and wouldnt start. my best bet is to see if the alternator is charging the battery, as mine wont start. all the lights on the dash will come on so i reckon thats the best thing to check.

Could start looking through the wires. Follow them back from the coil pack, if you know its not sparking and that the new coil pack was working before. Start looking for a break in the wire. Could be at fault.

Or have you lost all power all together

+1 check your battery as if it was your alternator at fault it would of not recharged the battery and drained it. Have u tried bump starting it.

also check your crank sensor m8, as this gives the signal which tells the ECU when to send the spark
