Lightweight Alloy Crank Pulley Kit do they make much difference or are they more for track cars with engine mods been looking at the off kam racing the one for 8v engines

Im looking at one for my 16v as mine needs replacing (squeeking like fook)
Dont fancy it gearing down the alternator though with the ICE and bottle heater etc Ive got. Anyone had problems with this?

I've not noticed any ill effects with the alternator being geared down. Car was starting up no bother in the freezing cold with blowers/ heated rear screen on.
Dusher: I might have a set for sale in a month or two.

Its primarily for race and track cars but a number of customers have happily fitted them on road cars. You are not going to notice a massive difference but when you combine it with other mods to reduce parasitic losses it adds up.

I thought since mine needs changing, upgrade? Dont want to get another second hand one for it to squeek like hell later on.
