I am in teh middle of creating a website that hopefully will list all british cars made from 1980 > present and having information similar to below weather it is use to anyone is a different story. Engine removal
Raise the front of the vehicle
Drain the cooling system
Drain the gearbox oil
Remove front wheels
Remove the drive shafts
Remove the injection management unit
Remove the radiator
Remove the air filter
Remove the gearbox linkage
Remove the air conditioner pump
Disconnect accelerator cable
Disconnect clutch cable
Disconnect earth cables from body
Disconnect fuse box earth cables
Disconnect fuse box (yellow and green connections)
Disconnect the canister purge solenoid hose from under the right front wing
Disconnect fuel line
Disconnect brake servo vacuum hose
Disconnect exhaust pipe from exhaust manifold
Disconnect reaction link
Suppoer the engine /gearbox combination
Remove engine suppers, left and right
Remove engine and gearbox from under saxo
Installation
Renew the differential retainer rings
Installation occurs in reverse order of removal.
Cylinder head removal
Drain Cooling system
Remove air filter
Disconnect the dipstick tube support
Disconnect all the hoses from cylinder head
Remove all wiring from cylinder head
Disconnect exhaust pipe from manifold
Remove timing belt
Remove the camshaft gearwheel
Remove the valve cover
Remove the cylinder head bolts
Refit the rocker shaft assembly
Remove cylinder head
Timing Tension the belt with SEE-gauge
Remove the front right wheel
Remove the reaction link
Remove the ancillary link
Disconnect the control unit cable
Remove crankshaft pulleys
Remove teh riming belt covers

Loosen the tensioner
Remove the timing belt
Check tensioner
Installation
Refit the locking pins
Fit timing belt A > B > C > D
Turn the tnsioner anti clockwise to adjust the timing belt tension
The tension is set if the tension gauge indicates a deflection of : 44 SEEM
Tighten teh tensioner, 20Nm
Turn the engine 4 times by hand
Refit locking pins
Remove the valve cover
Tighten the bolts until there is a small gap between teh camshaft and each rocker
(Ensure the valves make no contact with the pistons)
Loosen the tensioner pulley, keeping it steady with an allen key
The tension is set if the tension gauge indicates a value between 29 33 SEEM
Tighten the tensioner 20 Nm
Remove tools
Turn the engine 2 rotations by hand
Refit locking pins
Refit in reverse order of removal
