Exhaust Sytems

right i dont have a clue when it comes to exhausts! never had any dealings with them! i want to know what the best options are for a 2001 1.1 as my current backbox is more a pile of rust clinging to the back of my car

am i better going for the full system or just a universal backbox? if so what makes are good? and any idea of a rough price that would be reasonable!?

depends if its just the "brrrrrmm" your after or if your actually hopeing for a bhp increase by installing your new exhaust. if its purely for noise id go for just a back box..if its bhp the look for a cat back system and mayb even changing the manifold and decatting. although im not sure it'd have much of an affect on a 1.1. i've got a magnex cat back system on my VTR and i think its the nutzz

personal opinion tho i suppose

Cat Back would be louder than just a backbox anyway!

But yes Alex i agree that if you just want an exhaust for looks and a bit of sound just a backbox is a good value option

Dont go for a universal one either, go for one thats specific to the car.
