Quick help required! Coolant in a Saxo VTR

  1. #1
    Hey guys,

First post and sorry to be a bit hasty with it! My friend's Saxo VTR (02 plate) is running low on coolant and I'm trying to guide her where to top it up so she can get home out of the snow.

am I right in thinking it's the bottle just infront of the dipstick, to the left of the air scoop by the bumper? I don't want her putting water in with the brake fluid! haha.

EDIT: That's not her engine bay, just a pic I found

Correct, that's where it's filled up from

So to clarify, front left infront of the manifold, not front right infront of the battery.

    Correct,

The one infront of the battery is the PAS reservoir.

    Cheers guys!

She's just gonna put straight water in to get her home (she's stuck in a car park in a blizzard atm and the car was overheating cause of the stop start traffic) and when I get my hands on it I shall give the cooling system a flush and replenish.

just make sure its got some anti-freeze in mate or its not going to go anywhere when its frozen

She's home safe and sound, hopefully the overheating hasn't done any damage!

flush it now or it will freeze before the next hour.

Either that or empty it out for the night and fill in the morning with some anti-freeze, frozen coolant can cause all sorts of problems.
