   i have a vts and heater isnt getting hot and got a spare stat out a basic 1.1 are they the same cheers

   also on the housing what are the two sensors in the back of it is 1 for the fan switch and i for the temperature gauge cheers

   No - 1 is for temperature gauge on the dashboard, 1 is coolant temperature for the ECU.
   
   Same thermostat as far as im aware.

   The temperature that it open at should be stamped on the thermostat so you could compare them

   sure there the same, mind and blead the system too
