Stupid ice! crash into kerb.. whole tyre gone back into arch??

  1. #1
today i was going to work about 5am and as i went across this road in the saxo i ended up going across some ice and going bang into a kerb the whole car just stopped. engine running fine after - but left front tyre has gone all the way back to the arch, someone has said it might be something to do with the bar thing thats behind it. Dont really understand still how it all works but im gonna take it to a garage tomorrow. its very hard to turn left it scratches and rubs really bad. any ideas what it might be or has anyone else gone through this this winter with the weather?? sal

    xx

Sounds like at least you have bent the wishbone
may of twistd the subframe and bent a track rod end
  3. #3
theres no subframe to twist, just chassis! chances are wishbone and track rod are buggered, if chassis has twisted where wishbone mounts then it could well be the end of the line

wishbone matei done the same in my old mk1 saxo bent the drop link an all just changed the wishbone tho n the car was fine i also had 2 change my tyre as the wheel arch cut another tread line lol

When I done this I snapped the track rod end, bent the track rod, bent the drop link and bent the lower arm

sal you fail thats a suspension issue not engine
