heads and bottom ends/mk2 cat on mk1 head?

   Do mk1 heads fit mk2 bottom ends ?
   
   I asking because i fitted a mk2 engine after been told to use mk1 inlet and exhaust manifolds but mk1 inlet manifold don.t fit!
   
   Also can u fit mk2 cat manifold to mk1 head? Just move to sensors?

   Yes yorkie they do fit, but you are making the car effectively a MK1 everything about the MK2 and MK1 VTR's are the same EXCEPT the head from knowledge and possibly the location of the oil filter etc.
   
   Many people use mk1 top ends, and mk2 bottom ends to use Ecosse inlet manifolds (s1 raylle inlets) as them inlets only work on the MK1 heads, which give fairly good gains aswell

   Its not just mk1/mk2, its blacktop, silvertop (90bhp) & silvertop (98bhp)

   COOL COOL yea its a mk2 98bhp bottom end and a mk1 90bhp head also can i use mk2 cat by moving the sensors??? and taking mk1 cat off???
