Either that or Headgasket.
Also an easy(ish) way to drain coolant is to remove expansion cap, put a hose pipe is possible (if not a mop bucket full of water is ok)l.
- Remove return pipe from engine. Dangle over front of car into a suitable container
- Start car, coolant in the car will start to come out. Slowly top the expansion tank up with water from bucket ( or set hose to slow speed to match that of water coming out)
-After about 4/5minutes start to poor anti-freeze in, keep pooring until the water coming out the re-turn pipe turns blue/pink. Stop hose/bucket feeding Stop the engine. Put the return hose on. (by this time i had put 1L in)
- Put rest of required anti-freeze in 1/2L so u know the required amount is in
- Check level it should be just under the mark on the expansion botttle. top up with water, run engine for abit. See if it drops/raises.
Job done. I did this with my other car as bottom hose wasnt "open access"
