Car not starting.Key light flashing.

   I know this has been asked quite a few times but have tried most things and still cant get it to start.
   
   Basically the car wont start,key light flashing to indicate that the immobilizer isnt going off.have disconnected the battery to try and reset the ecu,and battery was put on a long charge still no luck,Ticking sound coming from he ecu when the key is turned.

   sounds like u aint gettin enough power from ur battery?
   
   have u got an sound system install in?
   
   if u have check the eathing of the amps to make sure that its not rinsing power other than that charge up your battery or wack it on trickle charge.

   Update from the mechanic he got the immobilizer light out,
   No no sound system but he has the battery on the booster so isnt a battery problem i dont think.

   Let me know what happens mate, Mine wont start, wont even jump start just keeps locking up like its seized, Problem for me thou is it never made any banging or clunking noise, And I get 2 clicks from either the relay under the ecu or the ecu itself, not sure, I've tried a new starter and new battery.. Please keep me info'd

   Problem fixed,it was something to do with wiring going to the crank sensor will find out more info on it tomorrow when i pick it up from the mechanic...so glad its all sorted...Firstly crank sensor went,then the clutch...then it wouldn't start.
   
   Oh happy days,good to see other people on here from "Norn Iron" aha.

   i thought that the flashing key ment the immobilisers locked ?

   Lmbo, Will have to check all the leads running to the crank sensor then !

    were abouts is it ? I can hear something priming when i turn the ignition on, I thought it was the winder motor thou !! I dont get a key flashing at all...

    just put the key in, leave for a second or two then try and start it. the loop isn't picking up the transponder... ours does it sometimes. give it a go.

    It does,i had both problems,the immobilizer wasnt letting the car start,and also the wires to the crank sensor.
