car cuts out when its warm??

    my vts starts up first time every time even in the latest cold weather not a problem but after driving for a few minutes and i put my foot down it hesitates for a second or two then finally pulls off, and when sat in traffic and im idling for a while it cuts out if i dont give it any revs, ive never known a car to cut out when its warm only when its cold...

    any ideas?

    My GTI always did this for some reason, exact same thing.
    I never found out what it was and I changed every sensor on the car!

    I heard a old mans wise tale that if thow owns the house keys from the new owner then the car shalt randomly cut out

    check the engine coolant temp sensor mate, if the ECU constantly thinks the car is cold, it will be injecting more fuel then needed and will run too rich and cut out
