My car at the min looks like a dog taking a p*#s the drivers side rear wheel is angled well in at the top yet the passenger side is fine do I really need to change the full axel? Or just stub? Or bushes? There's is little or no play in the wheel
It's that time new axel needed but quick question

#2Wont be bushes.
If there aint much play then it might be the stub pin. Replace that as its only "30 if that for a replacement, if it dosent solve the problem, then its a new axle. The stub you just bought wont be wasted money either as you can just slide the trailing arm onto your new axle. -
#3Are there bushes where the trailing arm goes in?
-
#4There are no bushes..there are 4 mounts on the 2 arms that connect to the car from the beam.
2 sets of needle pin beaings (one each side) which may of had a bad seal and therefore collapsed. Or if you havnt noticed sooner they could have damaged the pin that the trailing arm slides onto.
If you've had a bump or nock it may just be the stub pin where the hub is. -
#5Can the needle bearings be replaced?
-
#6Ye they can mate, more often than not the pin has worn aswell though.
-
#7Think I'll just try the stub to start with because there's no play where the trailling arm goes in and can't find play anywhere else also I don't know the cars history not had it long bought it as a fixer upper so could have had a knock just seems odd to be just one side
-
#8They usually go on one side at a time. Would be wise to just do the stub pin though first as you said.
-
#9Where's the cheapest place to get stub pin from?
-
#10'IM Axles' sell them, 106 Parts, Citroen and Pug sell them too I think, GMC. Possibly the motor factors too.

#11Cheers pal

#12Just one last thing so I'm 100% sure lol
If theres heavy play where trailing arm attaches to beam it's defy an axel I need? -
#13Bearings and or new replacement pin for the beam yes. Could be lucky and just be the bearings and seals you need if thats where the play is.
