WTF is this coming out of the coilpack?!

    I think it mounts to the side of the engine,

    I'll run out to mine here and check !

    Yeah, I think its an earth, just checked mine, If you look at the back of the coil box, to the bottom right hand side there should be a screw or a nut, and it goes into that !

    its a fatory fited noise supresor is usley put on the right hand coilpack bolt it stops the hiss from audio kit

    yeh its a noise supressor. usually on the left hand bolt of the coil pack. broke mine ages ago and makes no difference lol

    Stops thw whinning on the radio stations, when i had mine off it would whin to the revs of the engine........

    If you don't earth something near/attached to a stereo, it has a persistent and rather annoying ground loop hiss/whine.

    This should be to the right of the coilpack when you face the engine bay

    Just above where coilpack plug is. It doesnt attach to the coilpack. Its bolted to the head.
