How to make your saxo 'more secure'?

basically my house is getting a bit worse with the old enemies because of my brother..2 nights ago his car was broken into and all sound system was stolen, 950w edge sub and amp, jvc headunit, edge rear speakers and components ect...but to the point. my car is slightly at risk now and i'm always looking outside the window to make sure no-ones having a look inside ect, how can i make it more secure so if anyone tried it would make it harder..

ive thought about:

Sensor alarm from Halfords, theyre only like £30 or summin
Delocking boot and possibly doors eventually
somehow attatching my sub securely to the boot, so it cant just be picked up kinda thing, same for headunit

anyone have any ideas?

get a decent alarm like a toad or clifford for about 300 others just not worth thinking about. and take everything out when you get out the car.

tbf mate them alarms are crap, as said get a toad. after all if they carnt get the parts, they may just take the car.

Other than that get a bloody gun and shoot the c**ts.
even a hornet alarm £100 thatcham approved and you can add things such as proxy sensors on it, glass break etc so if they go anywhere near the car will beep then sound the siren

would be quite hard to unscrew all the bolts and about 30 wires from behind the dvd screen head unit, carry a very heavy custom boxed sub, and then the speakers lol

dont have much money atm because of the expensive insurance so looking for a cheap option for temporary, would the delocking help alot?

By the time you spent money delocking and stuff then the alram would be a cheaper option.

Failing that Redbull, Proplus and shotgun???

TBF the thieves are crap and well if there targeting that then they need to step there game up a bit as it's hardly the worlds most desirable set up

the "thieves" that robbed my brothers car didnt do it to make money, just mainly to piss him off and cost him money..
round here they rob your car if they have something against you, not just because they want something expensive..thats why i mentioned the whole enemies thing..

also de-locking the boot only needs a de-locked boot plynth..which are about £7.99 excellent condition off ebay iirc, and a £20 popper kit, just wondering if that would help it at all instead of spending hundreds on alarms atm..

It's easier to break in the door than it is the boot.

Thought about not upsetting people and making enemies instead

1) Get a decent Alarm, either Clifford or Toad. I've got Clifford 650 and cant fault it.
2) De-lock your your doors, so the locks cant be picked
3) Remove your door pins
4) Use security film on the windows

Doing steps 1,2 and 3 mean you can only gain entry to the car by smashing a window.
Doing step 4 means it's unlikely anyone will get in through the windows.

I've done all these except step 4 and my car was only broke into once, by them smashing the window. But the alarm scared them off.

Also what I do, which may be a bit OTT is take the entire head unit out of my car when I leave.

In honest alarm is the best bet, I know you want to save money but in the long run its worth it. Also where did this happen, did it happen in Edmonton? I know them boys up there vindictive.

de locked doors
cobra alarm
head unit which i take the facia off when i leave the car

also screw your sub down etc

Yeh man I hear that...nah happened down here, I know most boys in edmonton so nuttin shud happen to da car up dere..and to the other kid, I don't make enemies on purpose, that would just be stupid. From me doing something with my life making music people get very jealous and pissed off for some reason, then take that anger out on me obviously.

I just want to make the car safer then it is for cheap, I will be cutting down the door pins so they can't get grabbed through the window...will delock the boot and screw the sub down, the headunit is pretty stuck in as it has screw mounted onto the cage (which is stuck in) and there's so many outputs behind stuck behind things it will take them too long, by then I'd here them..probably going to get a sensor alarm or something so if there's any movement in the car it will go off

one of theg major problems with saxos is the doors and door pins. i had to break into my mates saxo because he locked his keys in it, it took me 2 minutes to get into his car and i didnt even break a window or anything, one thing i would suggest is anti theft door pins so when you lok your car the door pins go inside the door cars. and as for strapping a sub down theres not really much apart from bolting it down to the chassis . and always take your facia off your cd player

because without a facia a cd player is worth fuck all

I just unhooked the pins in mine, 2 min job, and then covered them with some blanking grommets from Halfords.

Also delocked the boot, and that wasnt too bad either, worst part was smoothing the boot plinth as i'd not used the filler before and had no idea what I was doing. Got a good finish in the end though and sprayed it over gloss black

on my car i have a code thing ( forgot what they called ) were u have to put in the code otherwise car wont move and carnt be hotwired or anything came with the clifford alarm i got expensive but worth it but all other ideas are probs the cheapest options invest in a bassball bat

Put a dirty great chain right around the car(no joke)with a padlock put something on the car 1st to protect it though(the paint etc).

You missed the point it's easier to gain entry with out pulling the interior door pin's or picking the lock.

Literally take's 30's max to gain entry and with out an alarm your pretty unprotected.

It was a light hearted post no point missed if someone wants to gain entry to your car their isn`t an alarm in the world that will stop them.Garaging the car the best option.

mine got broke into a while back, its stupid coz they are so easy to gain accsess with, but nobody realy bothers adding security until after theyve installed expensive equipment or after its been broken into already, very few people think of securing it before everything else.
how about installing a dead lock, i duno if a company makes universal ones or if you will have to design and buid one yourself but it wil stop your car doors from being opened when it is locked.

Just get a good alarm.. If you want to go all the way, get a GPS alarm or get a speech dialler (when someone breaks in to the car it will ring you) they are not cheap just to let you know,

Yeh, gonna still de-lock the boot anyhow, and invest in a good alarm system. When I bought my old golf way back it had a clifford alarm system on it, sensors were hooked up to everything! For now just going to park it at the front of my house so I can see it, I don't have a facia on my head unit as its a dvd one which flips out, I have a little cover for it which always goes on when I leave anyhow...only thing on show is the Vibe slick 2 6x9s in the parcel shelf...so possibly a slight tint will help,

got a cyclone alarm on my saxo came on the ar when i bought it. it does the central locking incl boot, flashes indicators when door is open to tell you the door is open (dunno why) has a panic button, changes sounds when the alarm is set off when the ignition is turn on but alarm is still active. errr it has a really sensitive shock sensor just knock the car hard enough and it will sound alarm for a few seconds as a warning, so is prety secure and i don't think they are that expensive to buy either. and it should lower insurance if fited by a proper fitter,
