8mm ID and around 6/7 metres will be plenty

Make sure you use fuel pipe clips and not jubilees on the fuel pipe

Your furiopump will have a return on it.

Ideally you'll need to drop the fuel tank to re-arrange how the fuel lines are routed.

Personally i think you are better off finding a VTS or 106 GTI at a scrappy and taking the lines off that.

Just get some fuel hose from ebay.

I got mine by messaging a guy on eBay that was selling a fuel tank, and asked that if I was to win the auction, could he just send me all the hoses from engine bay back to tank. £15 and a few days, and I had all I needed to fit a return line into my Westcoast.

Have done it with 8mm pipe in the past too

its soo easy to just buy 5/6 metres of flexi fuel pipe and plumb that in as just one long length.

Best to get the proper ones imo. If you don't want to pay Citroen's prices then like people have said go to a scrappy and get one. Some early VTR's have fuel returns as well as I got part of mine from a VTR and the rest from Citroen.
