will a 1.1 saxo centre section decat my ph1 vtr

I have a phase one vtr with the cat under the car, i have looked and as far as i can see a 1.1 centre section should decat it, my question is will it fit ? reply asap dudes, cheers

This could be fun.

There are two types of 1.1

Single (TU1M+) plug has the following

Manifold > Cat + Centre section all one pipe (Un-silenced) > Back box

3 plug (TU1JP) has the following

Manifold with cat in > Centre section all one pipe (Un-silenced - Citroen part num 1717T0) > Back box

So to answer your question yes you could because the bore of the 1.1 and VTR is the same i believe (only the VTS thats different).....however the 1.1 centre section which is what you would need from a 3 plug car which contains the cat pipe section from single plug cars would be un-silenced as well so it would make your VTR sound quite loud and im not even sure if it would sound any good.

Personally i would forget the idea and buy a VTR decat pipe. Far less hassle and easier for MOT time.

thanks, i kne3w to arder the later where the cat moved upinto the manifold, iv ordered one bacuase it was 20 pound new, it will straight through the system which can only be good for performance, as thats why im doing it, apposed to decat and having the silencer, and also the condition of my standard link pipe after the cat is too good especiall where it meets the backbox so iv gone ahead and ordered, cant complain at straight through for 22.96 free postage
