#2Did yah give er diddy on the way

#4Did you use a real lambda sensor or some dodgy universal one?
-
#5Check and WD40 all Connectors (Lambda, TPS, ICV Etc...)
Check Plugs.
Coil Pack may be slightly ill, if you can try one from a friend's Saxo.
If Coil Packs are poorly they often jult or bog when under load (Accelerating)
Check Air Filter, it may be clogged. That will cause loss of power and more fuel to be used.
Check Throttle Body for Muck.
See how it goes mate,

#6my vts has the same problem getting about 60miles to £20 of fuel.
got some cheap parts and so far changed the coilpack, icv, map sensor, tps
next is the lambda sensor which is rhink is causing the problem
Distance covered:- 60 miles
Litres of fuel used : 16.39- litres @ £1.22cost per litre (pence)
= 16.64 mpg -
#7mines the same i did a plug in and the only sensor bust was the lambda!
I think it's the cold weather and people are saying i only did 60miles to £20 but the price is 1.22 to every litre. So actually work out what you are getting!
I do about about 130miles to £35 which is 20mpg. That is around town driving only with sort distance travelled in this cold weather with a knackered lambda.
I'm hoping fixing the lamba etc will give me atleast 25mpg. -
#8Don`t forget in this weather your using more current from the battery which in turn the engine is working harder so using more fuel.

#9i think my lambda is buggered as its coming up on the diagnostics when plugged in and im still getting 35+mpg in my gti!!! wtf lol...usually average between 120-150 miles to £20 worth of fuel
