   well first of all im a little confused, my rear two speakers have blown/died today, im going to get some new speakers as my sub just over powers the speakers, is it best to get new rear speakers. OR 6x9s in the parcel shelve, or both if possible, just looking for a bit of guidance,

   Front and rear door speakers and a decent sub.

   Don't put 6x9's in your shelf mate
   
   Just get some new rear speakers, don't bother getting any dear ones unless you want to Amplify them.
   
   What sub have you got??

   i have a audiobahn sub powered by a kkicker amp mate, and my budget is depending on what a want lol just not over priced if you know what i mean

   decent sub, powered by a decent amp.
   decent run of cables.
   and some nice speakers up front, potentially amped, wouldnt go a miss.
   and a good HU
   
   go in the forsale section, Liam_b has two good amps for sale.
   along with JBL Gt5 woofers!
