Had my valves set, changed oil twice had the car seen to 3 times by citroen any ideas ?
Getting stressed out by this now

They said the cam lobes may just be worn bottom end is perfect and they didn't say nothing about bearings

79k the oil was pretty thin when I bought the car from a local garage

Thin oil isn't good lol.
Are there many scores on the lobes?
Anyway. On both of my Saxo's the Tappets sound like crickets if you set them to spec. So I set them well below spec, enough so there's Gap but not too much, now they're as quiet as.. Well new lol. You have to compensate for ware on older Engines... Spec is when they're new remember

Try a heavier weight engine oil(steer clear of any oil additives) that claim to make the engine quieter.
