ok i have a 1997 mk1 1.1i sx saxo, i keep having trouble with this fuse. In my manual it says fuse is for dash lights, heater lights on centre console, rear RH light, warning sound (if lights left on) and cigarette lighter. In my cigarette lighter i have two wires goiing into the back of it then one brown wire goes into a black box on the side of it (not sure what it is is it the earth?). Anyway last few had unplugged as the earth wire snapped so today i re soldered it up, everything worked fine plugged in cigarette lighter fuse went, turned off ignition put in another fuse and went again tried with cigarette lighter and everything works fine. Two questions what is the brown wire? and how can i fix it a new cigarette lighter unit maybe? thanks alot
fuse f12 keeps blowing why?

#3mine does the same. detatch cigarette lighter, charge your phone before you go out, carry a disposable lighter. Job done.

#4Brown wire is for the bulb that lights around the cig lighter so you can see it in the dark but only when sidelights or headlights are on.
