how to change the time on my mk2 vtr??

   i feel pathetic asking this, but i have no manual in the car, and want the right time.

   hold down the right button and the hours will start to flash, then press it again to select the right time. then release to get the minutes up, then releasing this will result in the time being set.

   I think it only works with ignition on with engine NOT running
