   hey guys, i need to know how hard it it to replace the cigeratte socket, mines is fried on the inside of the socket and i have a replacement in the garage, i am just unsure about how i go about removing it and wiring in the new one.

   The actua wiring is on the rear of the cigar ligher unit(plugs in)you need to remove the plastic surround the goes around the heater vents,radio etc.To do this take out your radio 1st then prise out the heated rear window switch hazard switch.Once these are all out you`ll be able to see I think its 5 screws in all which hold the surround on undo these theres 1 right at the bottom near the ash tray as well to undo.Then pull off the heater control knobs.Once everythings undone the surround pulls out & you`ll be able to access the cigar lighter.

   wudnt no what fuse it is .. check them all lol ... its so easy to get centre dash out then you can just pop out the cigarette lighter from the centre dash ... theres 2 wires in the back that you will need to plug in to your new 1.. simple as that

   wat u mean torx screws...? the screws to get the centre dash out ? theres 5 of them... 1 under ashtray ... were all the buttons are if u pop off the 2 end buttons theres 2 there and 2 above were the cd player goes

    u can plug like incar meons and that up to the cigarette lighter and that.. could probaly get a mini freezer to work lol in maplins they do converters to swith it from the ciggy lighter into a normal house plug .... i got a crappy ripspeed dvd player in mine and bought that to try get a ps2 in there but there wasnt a input wire !!

    ah fair plays, so in effect if you had enough batteries and space in your car you could wire up like a 40"tv with a ps3 in your car wired from the cigy lighter bit?

    cheers boys for all the help turned out to be just the fuse but i got a whole new cigeratte socket anyway
