Alright there guys, Came out to the car and the cd player has been stolen. Went to try and start it up, dead completely nothing. No starter motor noise either. Flat battery?? Have a sub wired up to the cd player so when this has got ripped out the remote wire has been left unattached to anything would this be why my battery's dead? (assuming its a dead battery) Any help much appreciated thanks!

#2Sounds like you know the problem, Remove the sub wire from the battery then bump or jump start the car and report the stolen cd player

#3Thanks mate just wasn't too sure as I was expecting the clicking noise from previous battery situations. Will have to let it pass no m.o.t on it at the minute. Just glad that my boot lock is broke or they would of had a nice little sound system too. Wern't smart enough to get in from the back seats but hey they wouldnt be about stealing if they were smart in the 1st place.

#4I'd still report it mate even if it doesnthave an mot someone broke into it thepolice should know I'd say
-
#5Pikeys!
-
#6but if the car was on road with mot the police probaly wont do much apart from give u a bollocking... hope it wasnt an expensive cd player... how did they break in... smash the window?
-
#8Damn! Pikies... They steal everything...

#9So im just back there after 20 mins of trying to jump start it. No luck was ticking over but just wouldnt fire up. Too flat to jump start? Very little petrol, but should be enough to get started. Any suggestions guys? Back down later with a can of easy start and can of petrol if not take the battery out to give it a good charge?

#10battery must be completly dea if it wont bumpstart... might be better off getting new battery.. that wire you was on about with the cd player or something.. hasnt touched metal and blown a fuse or anything...? just a complete guess
-
#11Jump leads should be good enough... Keep the jumping car at about 2,000 RPM to send plenty of power!
-
#12I tried jump starting in mate not bump start and it was just the we remote wire to power off the sub when the ignition gets turned off so im not too sure. cheers anyway

#13You do realise to that having no MOT means no insurance either just in case you get broken into again & have more stuff taken. The insurance company won`t want to know.

#14Its booked for a test next week and if i have any luck getting it started it will be took home, battery charged parked up and not drove untill its all sorted. Tax is us new yrs aswell gonna be a dear month

#15i dont realy understand how that drained the battery
its weird... are the interior lights coming on ?
-
#17ohryt ..i get it now.
-
#18Yeah but there also needs to be 0.6V running through the remote wire to turn the sub on?
-
#19hmm no radio on the remore wire would not turn the sub on because it needs voltage from the head unit to turn it on!!
-
#20they havnt disturbed anything else whilst being in your car have they ?
-
#21sounds to me asif they have fucked something else up while they were at it!
-
#22Did u try bumping it in 3rd or reverse alot stronger than 1st
Leads should do the trick if not it must have earthed out or something strange any fuses out
