  7. #7
+1 dubmeister are good, i did the naughty thing as had some made localy black and silver ones.... police did not like them
  8. #8
as far as i know it will have to have the dubmeister logo on there along with another number on the right had side which is to show that they are road legal etc, this might just be for companies not based on the web as we have to have the name of our company on ours, not sure really, u should keep it as plain as possible, will look good that way imo

yeah simple is better il probably just make a progress thread and add them in to make it look better will need to wash the car though because it is way to dirty lol its not progress thread material in the state it is at the moment!

has to include, Name, postcode / location and BS Stamp.

any message at the bottom is illegal.
  11. #11

yeah, but i got around it when i had my bike plates mate, just got the code and printed it off in small writing, and stuck it on the bottom of my place.

    score!

See thats a lot of information on a plate true it has to abide by laws and that I might ring up Dubmiester and get them to walk me through it on the phone so i dont make any mistakes!
  14. #14
na mate they will do it all for you, if it dosent come with one i wouldnt put it on your car. people always complain at work cos we need to see a photo i.d and a v5 to prove its for them, thats why the number plate should have where it was made so the police can trace it back , not that they have anything better to do of coarse
  15. #15
Yeah i know When i bought my saxo my dad was driving he was being followed for about 30 miles by police and didnt even stop us which was the annoying thing because there was nothing wrong they just fancied following us to make sure we didnt go 31 in a 30 zone!
  16. #16
yeah when i had my corsa they followed me for like 15 mins, i rekon it was just cos it was late but u know, its dangerous imo just following for the ake of it cos i dont know if i speek just for myself but when a copper is up my arse i seem to spend more time worrying about what there doing then what im doing.
  17. #17
Yeah to true they probably just looking for something to pull you for!
  18. #18
probably lol, you just have to remeber there doing there job atthe end of the day, even tho it does get annoying lol
  19. #19
Yeah i know what you mean but they do take the biscuit sometimes
  20. #20
The dubmeister logo and other relevant information is barely visible even up close. Its like the foil logo on your bank card but harder to see!
Also why would you need the GB badge to be legal? 90% of cars on the road have just the yellow white background and relevant font. Why would you need the GB badge on it too?

EDIT: Also forgot to mention that I recommend Dubmeister, very helpful! Easy to use website and really helpful customer service when they didn't receive my e-mail with v5 and drivers license the first time! Came quickly once they received my e-mail. Spot on really.

  23. #23

  24. #24

  25. #25

  26. #26
ebay do some and i have heard good things about them!
  27. #27
did you have tosend of your v5 to get them ??n how long are they going to take ?
  28. #28
I got mine from a website recommended by pearson on here and they didn't need any documentation or anything like that. Just sent me the plates that are totally legal and allowed been followed by the police a few times and they don't mind them. Only cost me like 33 pounds as well
  29. #29
Yeah but dubmiester is 30 a set so stick with them they trusted why mess around with someone else!
  30. #30
fair enuf i would have thought u had to send some form of proof that the reg was in your name but obv not if your havnt been pulled and at 30 a set its not bad

Mine have an " F " and I get away with them
  32. #32
as in "F" for french insted of GB ?? mate had german ones and got over 100 quids worth of fines due to font though i think, i thought u couldnt have a F unless it was registerd in france ??
  33. #33
Well they are legal gb plates just done in a French style and have the F. The website didn't say that's the F wasn't allowed on the plates going to the gb
  34. #34
dunno then mate, what site you get them off ??
  35. #35
Umm it was called craigsplates.com or something like that tbh I followed a link from on here a few weeks back. I'll try find it if you want?
  36. #36
As it turns out they have redone the site since I was last on and put in the small print way down the bottom of a separate page that the plates ae meant for show only . So much for them then. Sorry
