Few Problems

   firstly i have a mk2 vts,a light came on dash which was an orange circle with a car in it and a squiggly line under it? any idea what it is? its gone off now but just wanted to find out what it was.
   
   secondly,when turning right the indicator noise goes really quickly and when this happens the green arrow on dash doesn't come up then it goes slow the arrow comes back, I've looked at the bulbs and all look fine,could it be a dodgy fuse or something else?
   
   thirdly,when turning left when the wheel is at an angle and i hit a bump there's quite a banging noise coming from the drivers side wheel area,any ideas?

   as for the banging noise i would check bushes,check for a snapped spring...drop links....lower arm,just inspect they are all in good order and not loose,also keep in mind under the pedals if u lift the carpet oul see a little flap,lift it up and there are 2 bolts tht hold the lower suspension arm,make sure they are tight!! as for your other problems im sorry i cnt help,maybe it would be easier to just get it plugged in on diagnostics..

   checked google images for saxo abs light and that's what it was,any ideas why it would come on then go off? could it have been a bump in road? or is it more likely a sensor on the way out?

   car was in garage today and i quote from my wife "i think he said it was wishbone suspension arm or something", that's what happens when you let your wife talk to the mechanic whatever it was making the banging noise it cost £140 inc vat and labour,think i'll phone them tomorrow to see exactly what it was.

   mcconechys in Arbroath its 10 feet from my wife's work so we always go there,easiest for her because of the shifts i work,plus we've got a good relationship going now with the guy in charge,my vtr went there now my vts does the wifes shitty vectra goes there her dads lexus goes there,fairly sure this wishbone thing was caused by the wife god knows how many times her vectra has been in getting wheel/steering/suspension things fixed if she sees a roundabout she usually hits it same with kerbs its like an addiction

   the indicator problem cud be the stalk, ive had the same problem a couple of times and replacing the stalk has sorted it, it sounds like a bulb has gone, but like you say they are all ok, it only happens for me, ( got the prob again ) when i indicate to turn left, but if i just touch the stalk, the indicator begins to work ok, hopr u know wot i mean

    the indicator thing hasn't happened since i posted this thread not sure if its just the dampness in electrics or something

    keeps happening to me, must be heavy handed, think im just going to buy a new one this time, mite last a bit longer lol, but it is a pain in the arse, ive got to turn the music down at each junction just to hear if the indicators are working ok
