16v std oil cooler query

   What would happen if you blanked off the standard oil cooler? As i have a samco top rad hose without the two smaller pipes below to join onto the oil cooler, i decided to blank these off a while back til i got a different top hose allowing me to use it, would it make the car run funny or do anything any harm? Cheers.

   wouldn't think so as 106Gtis don't have the cooler iirc

   Some do, mine does, depending on year they do, i didn't think so either but was curious as its been blanked off a while.

   none of them have an oil cooler, its a heat exchanger.
   
   warms up faster with them on, keeps oil and coolant at fairly constant temps, helps fuel consumption and engine wear.
   
   no need to blank them off :lol: nothing will come out.
   
   BBM do the top hose with the takeoffs for the heat exchanger.
