right took my car to the garage today to have my coilovers fitted and he said that they wont fit as there is nothing for my tracking bar to fix to and also the anti roll bar
here is a picture of the kit is this true

They screw into the std strut.
  3. #3
did the garage you went to know fuck all? could they not looked at it and work it out?
  4. #4
Hahahahaha brilliant Made my day, go to another garage lol.
  5. #5
i rang other garages and there saying that to fit it it is a pain and take up to much time...
  6. #6
Are you close to KrisB or RickyP they'll do it easily.
  7. #7
Fitting parts & the like... Isn't that what garages get paid for?

There must be some Saxo gurus in your area that'd fit them for you for a few quid?
  8. #8
A pain. seems fairly straight forward to me

tbh its the same as lowering the car, wish bone out, drive shaft out. undo anti roll linkage, undo track rod end, undo 3 bolts tht hold leg on. spring compresser remove spring, then undo the shock slide the new into standard leg rebuild...

should take them bout 10mins extra per side then normal lowering
  10. #10
I'd leave the wishbone & driveshaft in place, just undo the balljoint & driveshaft nut as well as the other bits you mention to remove the strut.
  11. #11
just hammer the wishbone out of the balljoint and slide the strut off the shaft
  12. #12
yer sorry didt mean remove fully just remove from the leg, if you do fully remove the shaft drain the box 1st

the setting up is the hard part but im sure the op would want to adjust that to how he wants them

speak to merlin motorsport at castle coombe, im sure they will know some one in the are who is able to fit them
  15. #15
should only take an hour to fit them

    Road trip for someone then?

Remember to get your alignment checked afterwards.
  22. #22
    I'll happily do it.

Shows how much some garages know though, obviously never seen a saxo or 106 shock absorber.
  23. #23
my mate said he could do it but he was looking at there is no grove on the top on the shock for the plate to sit on and there is loads of slack where the grub screws are is that right?
  24. #24
lols like i told you in the texts mate
