Important! : boot popper doesn't work...

    got my boot popper today, all good ect..

    just fitting the mounts, everything wired up...my bro held the live cable directly onto the popper for about 10 seconds seeing if it would go in an out (for example if my button got stuck) it made a sound inside and now doesnt work,

    a mate seems to think ive blown the motor..

    what has happened? obviously its just cost me £15 so a bit annoyed atm, especially as now i cant open my boot..

    was it ground properly? has it popped a fuse.
    can;t say i had any trouble with mine. i did a guide to how it should be wired up long as its a new kit should work fine which ever way u wired it up.

    yeh mate grounded properly...was working before my bro held the live onto it as if he was holding down a button...nah fuse is fine, checked that..does is look like im going to have to order a new popper?

    yeh mate sounds like the motor on the popper has gone, u might have fried the motor by holding it down for 10 seconds, i think ur only surposed to press the button and let go straight away just enough to pop the lock

    is it a motor, or an electromagnet. if electromagnet, was there weight on the cable when you let go of the live
