whats up with my electrics?

   on my old saxo, if i had my lights on, and then went to open my door it would make the noise to let me know, and also the sunroof light goes on.
   
   on my new vtr it doesn't do either, is this a fuse issue, or something a bit more complicated?

   Try the switches on the door frame,be careful when pulling them out, the wires love to fall

   mine was exactly the same never worked when first got mine, turned out to be the switches on the doors, as said watch the wires when pulling the switch through the hole mine come off, but managed to fish it out

   Can you just clarify when you say the switches? Not the cabling connecting between the car door and the actual car?

   there little buttons... if your interior light worked then u could press the little button in and it would go off ... asif the doors closed... i think thats what they are on about

   yeah yeah the little button
   is under where all the wiring goes through the door
   is attached to the car its self and is black cant miss it

    yeah i just went scrap yard and picked 2 up,
    there screwed in but once unscrewed they pop right out watch the wire on the back though its only pushed on

    hey mate, have you not tried flipping the interior light because i always hated it coming on so i left it off all the time. . . check that, worked lasttime i had it and the beeping noise unless me leaving in that ice and weather for so longs done something??
