quick lowering question..

hi guys, looking at lowering my car in a couple of weeks, just wondering whether it would be ok or not to drive the car with front lowered and not the back (will only be 35mm) an hour down the road to someone who can do the torsion bar as I can do the springs.

should be fine mate, if youre really worried (which you shouldnt be) then put a heavy tool box in your boot for the trip!

Yeah it will be fine mate.

Btw theres a guy on here selling some 60mm lowering springs called MikeKinetic.

60mm looks awesome on front of a saxo

awsome, should be fine then, its not far anyway

I dont wana go too low because all the speed bumps and awful roads round here, that low wouldn't be ideal when i've got two heavy mountain bikes on the roof aswell lol

It would look awesome that low with two mountain bikes on roof

would be fine with the front lowered. would just look like your driving downhill all the time lol

well thinking about doing it myself as my dad would be able to do the torsion bar hopefully.

is this the 'proper' way of doing it or is this the 'notch' method?

The suzuki site shows the correct way to do it. Which is the way i'll do it for £60. However, they don't tell you what to do if anything goes wrong and the chances are that the homemade puller won't be much good, certainly not compared to the puller/s i've got and the experience.

I have used this guy, and would totally recommend him over doing it yourself.

I had a look at doing it, and then decided to get it done by someone knowing what he was doing... Made it look easy.

    Top bloke.

no, but you will need shocks if going lower than 40mm as a general rule
