106 1.1 to vtr conversion.

   Hi all, me and my mate are trying to contest his 1.1 to a vtr, just a few quick questions, will the engine loom plug straight into the interior loom? will I have to weld a vtr engine mount on?
   
   Anything else ive overlooked or is it a pretty straight forward conversion?

   Citreon and pug loom at different so you will have to splice the looms together and not sure abou the mounts

   Bad times. In that case I might put some saxo clocks in as its all stripped out inside anyway

   Anyone else got any input of issues i might hit? Turns out he 1.1 alternator bracket doesnt fit the vtr block

   mounts you shouldn't have to change as all the block's use the same mounting set up.

   I read on here you need to weld in a new mount to fit a 16v in a 1.1 Not sure about the 8v's though

   If you use the peugeot VTR lump (106 XS) then you dont have the change the interior loom at all. Unless its got a clock instead of a rev counter.

   ive done the same with mine the engine mounts are the same but just be carefull that you dont lock the ecu like i did the imobiliser locked it on mine it all needs to be in sink there is a imobiliser box under the dash next to the fuse box that needs to match the one under the ecu also the chip reader round the ignition needs to match you will also need to change the fuel pump the way i did it was strip the car change the whole car wireing loom and i had a vtr fuel tank with all the bits so just changed the tank...... it sounds alot but me and one of my mates had it done in 2 days prity strait forward

    Its always best to get the ecu, loom and engine from the same car then you will have no problems.
    
    Search though been covered thousands of times...

    Im currently changing my 106 over to a 03 plate vtr interior loom took me just over 2 hours to get it refitted with the dash etc. not that harder job once the cars stripped.

    sorry for the epic bump, i forgot about this thread all together. Got a ecu loom ect but dont think its unlocked, il send it off to be unlocked. The engine was free to collector so cant complain really
    
    Apparently 1.1 driveshafts are slightly shorter? Anyone heard anything on this?
    
    Also, ashie695, why did you need to change the fuel pump?
